Premium Addons For Elementor: How To Add Wishlist Buttons To Product Grids

You spent an afternoon building a product grid in Elementor. The cards look sharp, the carousel slides smoothly, and your top sellers sit right at the top of the page.

However, a shopper who likes a product but isn’t ready to buy has nowhere to go. If you built that grid with Premium Addons for Elementor, the wishlist button may not have shown on the cards at all. That’s because Premium Addons draws its own product cards, which skip the spots wishlist buttons usually rely on.

The free SaveTo Wishlist Lite plugin now adds the button to those cards on its own. Below, I’ll show you how to set it up and check it’s working. Then I’ll share how to turn the saves into sales.

Why Your Elementor Product Grids Need A Wishlist Button

Product grids do a lot of selling. Shoppers use them on your homepage, category pages and landing pages to scan many products at once. As a result, the grid is often where a shopper first spots a product they like.

Yet many of those shoppers aren’t ready to buy on the spot. In Baymard Institute’s research, 42% of US online shoppers have abandoned a cart because they were “just browsing / not ready to buy”. Those are the shoppers who added something to a cart. Plenty more scroll past a product they like and never come back to it.

A wishlist button gives those shoppers a third option besides buying now or leaving. They save the product in one click and keep browsing. Meanwhile, you learn which products they wanted, and that’s what makes a wishlist worth having.

That makes the button most useful in the places shoppers browse the most. On many Elementor stores, that’s a product grid built with Premium Addons for Elementor.

What The Premium Addons For Elementor Integration Does

Premium Addons for Elementor by Leap13 is a free Elementor add-on with more than 600,000 active installs on WordPress.org. Among its widgets is Woo Products, listed on WordPress.org as Woo Products Listing. It shows your WooCommerce products in grid, masonry or carousel layouts.

That widget builds its own product cards. Because of that, it doesn’t run the standard WooCommerce shop hooks that wishlist buttons usually attach to. SaveTo Wishlist Lite 1.1.6 closes that gap. Here’s what the integration does:

  • Adds the button to every card: Each card in a Woo Products grid or carousel gets one Save to Wishlist button. There’s no widget to add.
  • Follows your Shop Page placement: The button uses the Shop Page Button Placement you’ve already chosen, so your grids match your shop page.
  • Saves the right product: Each button carries its own card’s product, so a click always saves the product the shopper is looking at.
  • Works with Load More: Cards that load after a shopper clicks Load More get the button too. Saves from them work as normal.
  • Falls back when a spot is missing: If a card hides the part your placement points to, the button moves to the end of the card’s details.

It’s separate from our Elementor integration, which adds a Save to Wishlist widget for Elementor templates and supports Elementor Pro’s Loop Grid. If you use Premium Addons grids, this integration covers them on top of that.

What You Need Before You Start

You need three plugins, all of them free:

  • SaveTo Wishlist Lite, version 1.1.6 or later: The integration ships in the free plugin. If you use SaveTo Wishlist Pro, it runs on top of Lite, so you get it too.
  • Elementor: The free version is enough.
  • Premium Addons for Elementor: The free plugin includes the Woo Products widget.

Our team verified the integration with Elementor 4.2.4 and Premium Addons 4.11.105.

How To Add Wishlist Buttons To Premium Addons Product Grids

The integration switches itself on when it detects Premium Addons, so there’s no toggle to find. These steps cover the settings that decide how the button looks and behaves.

Step 1: Install or update the plugins

Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and update SaveTo Wishlist Lite to 1.1.6 or later. New to the plugin? Our quick start guide covers the first setup. Then make sure Elementor and Premium Addons for Elementor are installed and active.

Step 2: Add a Woo Products grid

Open a page in Elementor and search the widget panel for Woo Products. Pick the one with the PA badge and drag it onto your page. Then choose your layout, products and card skin in the widget’s settings. Click Publish or Update to save.

Already have a Premium Addons grid on your site? Skip this step. The button appears on existing grids as soon as SaveTo Wishlist Lite 1.1.6 is active.

Step 3: Choose where the button sits on each card

Go to SaveTo Wishlist > Settings > Button Placement & Styles. In the Shop Page section, find Button Placement. Your Premium Addons cards follow this setting:

  • Above or Below the Product Title: The button sits right by the product name.
  • Above or Below the Add to Cart Button: The button sits next to Add to Cart, where buying decisions happen. If your grid shows Add to Cart somewhere else, the button moves to the end of the card’s details.
  • Top Right or Top Left of the Product Image: Premium Addons has no spot inside its image area for the button. So these two options put it at the top of the card’s details instead.
  • Don’t show: Hides the button on your shop page and in your Premium Addons grids.

Because this is your Shop Page setting, a change here also moves the button on your shop and category pages. Check one of those pages after you save.

With Top Right of the Product Image chosen, the button sits at the top of the card’s details, above the title (click to zoom).

Step 4: Check the grid’s Cache Settings

In Elementor, select your Woo Products widget and open its Advanced tab. Find Cache Settings and make sure it’s set to Default or Inactive.

Keep the widget’s Cache Settings on Default or Inactive so the wishlist button shows (click to zoom).

If it’s set to Active, SaveTo Wishlist won’t add the button to that grid. That’s on purpose. A cached grid would store one visitor’s saved state and show it to everyone who comes after them.

Step 5: Choose what happens after a click

Next, go to SaveTo Wishlist > Settings > General and find Add To Wishlist Button under Wishlist Action. You have three choices:

  • Redirect: Sends the shopper to the wishlist page after each save. This is the default.
  • Popup: Shows a confirmation popup.
  • Fade: The button fades to confirm the save, and the shopper stays on the grid.

Step 6: Decide whether guests can save

Finally, go to SaveTo Wishlist > Settings > Guest Options. If Disable Guest Wishlist is on, logged-out shoppers won’t see the button in your grids. I’d leave guest saving on, and our guide to guest wishlists explains why.

With those six settings in place, your Premium Addons grids show the button the way you want.

How To Check The Integration Is Working

Set the add action to Fade first, so you stay on the page while you test. Then open the page with your Premium Addons for Elementor grid in a private window and run these checks:

  1. Look at each card. Every card should show exactly one Save to Wishlist button.
  2. Click the button on any card, then open your wishlist page in a new tab. That card’s product should be there.
  3. If your grid uses Load More, click it, then save a product from one of the new cards. Reload the page and load the same cards again. That button should show as saved.
  4. Change your Shop Page Button Placement and reload the grid. The button should move to the matching spot on each card.

🔍️ What we’ve seen: If a grid shows no buttons at all, check the widget’s Cache Settings first. It’s an easy one to miss, because the setting lives on Elementor’s Advanced tab rather than in SaveTo Wishlist.

5 Ways To Turn Product Grid Saves Into Sales

A save from a product grid is a shopper telling you “I like this, but not yet”. These five habits help you act on it.

Use Fade so shoppers keep browsing

Grids are for browsing many products at once. Fade lets a shopper save one and carry on scrolling. By contrast, Redirect sends them to the wishlist page after every save, so they lose their place in the grid.

Place the button near Add to Cart on sale grids

On grids built to sell, like a deals section, put the button above or below Add to Cart. That way, a shopper who isn’t ready to buy sees the save option right where they were about to decide. For lookbook-style grids that sell on looks, a spot by the title works well instead.

Build a “save it for the sale” grid before Black Friday

In the weeks before a big sale, add a Premium Addons for Elementor grid of the products you plan to discount. Invite shoppers to save their favorites ahead of time. Then, when the sale starts, you know which products to promote first. Our Black Friday wishlist ideas cover more ways to use saves during the sale.

Follow up on what shoppers saved

Saves only turn into sales if you follow up. Use them to plan restock reminders, price-drop emails or a simple “still thinking about it?” message. Our guide to wishlist email marketing walks through the options.

Keep guest saving on and invite sign-ups

Many shoppers browse grids without logging in. If you turn off guest saving, the button disappears for all of them. Let guests save first. Then SaveTo Wishlist can show a login link on the guest wishlist, so they sign in and keep their saves.

Start with the habit that fits your grids today. Then add the others as the saves come in.

Things To Know Before You Switch It On

A few details about how SaveTo Wishlist works with Premium Addons for Elementor are worth knowing, so nothing surprises you:

  • One placement for every grid: Premium Addons cards follow your Shop Page Button Placement. You can’t set a different spot for each grid.
  • No button on the image: The Top Right and Top Left placements land at the top of the card’s details, not on the photo.
  • Cached grids skip the button: A grid with Cache Settings set to Active shows no wishlist button.
  • Cards need some details: If you remove every part of a card’s details in the widget settings, there’s nowhere left for the button.
  • No widget needed, or possible: The SaveTo Wishlist Elementor widget can’t be dropped inside a Premium Addons card. The integration adds the button for you instead.
  • Guest saves live in the browser: A guest’s wishlist is stored in their browser until they log in. It won’t follow them to another device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need SaveTo Wishlist Pro for the Premium Addons integration?

No. The integration is part of the free SaveTo Wishlist Lite plugin, version 1.1.6 or later. SaveTo Wishlist Pro runs on top of Lite, so Pro users get it as well.

Do I need Premium Addons Pro?

No. The integration works with the Woo Products widget in the free Premium Addons for Elementor plugin.

Do I have to add a widget to each product card?

No. Once SaveTo Wishlist Lite 1.1.6 or later is active, the button appears on its own. It shows on every card of your Premium Addons grids and carousels.

Why isn’t the wishlist button showing in my Premium Addons grid?

Check four things. First, the grid’s Cache Settings shouldn’t be set to Active. Second, your Shop Page Button Placement shouldn’t be Don’t show.

Third, Disable Guest Wishlist should be off if you’re testing while logged out. Finally, SaveTo Wishlist Lite should be version 1.1.6 or later.

Can I put the button on top of the product image?

Not in Premium Addons grids. Premium Addons has no spot inside its image area. So the two image placements show the button at the top of the card’s details.
